Simply put, tokenization is a way of securitization or dividing the property of a company into shares. The real estate asset is placed under the ownership of an LLC (Limited Liability Company), which issues shares in the same amount as tokens to represent them. Therefore, one token represents one share of the company owning the asset, hence fractional ownership of that asset.
